Ecco Golf’s new S-Lite hybrid shoe breaks new boundaries for the Danish footwear brand as the lightest leather golf shoe it has ever made.
Launched as part of Ecco Golf’s spring/summer 2019 collection, the S-Lite offers golfers an extremely light and versatile model in a range of eye-catching colours.
Ecco’s designers drew upon the company’s multi-injection Fluidform production process to create a sole unit that is 66% thinner than it has been able to produce on any other TPU outsole before, yet still offers outstanding flexibility and superb grip, courtesy of 100 traction studs.
Fluidform Technology is a ‘state change’ process that uses specialised fluid materials to form around an anatomical last, ensuring a finely-tuned balance of cushioning and rebound, while also creating an integral, flexible and durable bond, without the compromises common with stitched or glued assemblies.
Combining the lightweight sole construction with durable Yak leather ensures natural water-repellent properties, while a diamond-shaped embossing on the upper increases comfort and delivers breathability.
Comfort is further enhanced with the use of a soft leather foot bed that offers a cushioned feel and natural moisture management, while additional support is provided through a moulded leather heel counter and inside toe reinforcement to ensure stable footing throughout the swing.
